Retouch Tool

This
isn't a tutorial as such because to do a tutorial for everything the retouch
tool does would take months!
I'm just
going to show you the different effects of the retouch tool and maybe you'll
see an effect that will help you in one of your PSP projects
I used
this doll to show the changes, Feel free to right click on it and Save As to
your hard drive and use it to practice the effects of the retouch tool.

Doll from
Candybar Dolls

Ok, let's
get going.
LIGHTEN
RGB

As you
can see, I used this tool to lighten the hair on the doll. It's best if u
use quick clicks of the mouse button to lighten it or you'll end up with
white streaks if you hold the mouse button down too long.
DARKEN
RGB

SOFTEN

I used
the retouch tool to soften the edges of the dolls hair and the stars
I had to
add a drop shadow so you could see the effect easier
EMBOSS
I used a
flower tube for this one because it showed the effect better

DODGE

This is
an effect you get with quite a few plug ins

SATURATION TO TARGET
All the
To Target one change the the effect by using whatever colour, pattern or
gradient you have in your top styles box

LIGHTNESS

I added a
drop shadow to this one too so you could see the effect better

COLOUR TO
TARGET
This has
to be my favourite one of the retouch options! I use it in a lot of my PSP
work

Choose a
colour you would like to change the hair too, I chose blue!
You have
to have your brush size small so you don't turn her face blue!

I hope
this 'tutorial' has given you some idea of what the retouch tool can do.
Have fun experimenting! :o)
