Watch Me Grow

The sizes given are just a guide as it will depend on how big you want your photo's, as to how big your new image will. Open all your photo's in PSP and resize them if necessary.

Chose a light colour in your foreground colour box and a darker colour to compliment it, in your background colour box. Flood fill the new image with the light colour.

Go to Image > Add Border and use the settings in the screenshot. Add the same border to each of your photo's. (In versions 8 and above, you'll have to set the colour for the border in the colour box on the border settings)

Copy and paste each photo onto your new image. Don't move them as they will be automatically centred on the new image when you paste them.

Switch the dark and light colours in your colours boxes so the dark colour is in the foreground box and the light colour is in the background box. (To switch the colours, click on the little double ended arrow that points to each colour box) Now click on your text tool and click on your canvas. Again, the size of the font is just a guide...it depends how big your photo's are as to how big you'll need your text. Click ok.

In the middle of the vector box, there's a little node that when clicked on and moved, will swivel the text left or right. Go to the layer palette and right click on the vector layer. Click on 'Promote to raster layer'

Go to Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel and use the settings in the screenshot.

Time to rename and duplicate our layers. Duplicate the background layer so you have the same number of background layers as you do photo layers. Repeat with the text layers. Rename all the layers as in the screenshot.

Arrange the layers as in the screenshot and turn off the visibility of all layers except 'background1' 'picture1' and 'text1'. Right click on the background layer and go to Merge > Merge Visible.

Turn off the visibility of the newly merged layer and turn on the visibility of background2, picture2 and text2. Merge visible. Repeat for the other layers.

This is what you will have once you've merged the layers. Save as a psp file.

Open the file in Animation Shop and go to Edit > Select All then Animation > Frame Properties. Set the Display time to 50.

Click on the last frame to select it and right click. Go to Frame Properties and set the display time to 150.

Save and you're done :o)
