Flood Fill Tool

Open a new canvas, use the following settings

Click on your preset shapes tool and in your tool options palette choose a flower shape. I used flower 3

Use the following settings

In your colour palette set your foreground colour to black and your background colour to null

Draw the flower shape on your new canvas. It's your choice how big you want to make it

Click on your magic wand tool and use the following settings

Now click inside the flower shape to set the ants marching

Go to Selections > Modify > Expand and expand by 2 or 3 pixels

On your colour palette, choose a solid colour, pattern or gradient and flood fill your selection

Go to Selections > Select None

Now click inside the first petal to set the ants marching then while pressing the sift key on your keyboard click inside the other empty petals. Go to selections again and expand the selections by 2 or 3 pixels then choose a different colour and flood fill the selections.

Go to Selections > Select None

Now click on the Inner Bevel icon and use the following settings

You will now have this

We're now going to duplicate the flower so we can add some noise to it.

On your layer palette, right click on the layer and click on rename. I renamed mine flower

Now right click again and click on duplicate. Repeat again so you have 3 copies of the flower layer

Rename the copies flower2 and flower3

PAGE 2

Make sure the flower layer is active (click on it to highlight it blue)

Go to Effects > Noise > Add

When the window opens, use the following settings

Click ok

Click on your flower2 layer and add noise again but this time change the noise from 34 to 44

Click on your flower3 layer and again add noise changing the 44 to 54

Ok, time to add the doll

I had to open my doll in Animation Shop to keep it transparent. Go to Edit > copy

Back in PSP go to Edit > Paste As New Layer

Your doll will now be centred on your canvas

Click on the drop shadow icon and use the following settings

We now need to duplicate the doll the same way we did the flower. Rename the doll layer doll then right click and duplicate twice. Rename the copies doll2 and doll3

Time to add some text

Click on your text tool and then click on your canvas. Use the following settings

I created as a vector because I wanted to rotate my text so it was at an angle

Go to your layer palette and right click on the text layer. Click on Convert to raster

Add an Inner bevel to the text using the same settings as before

Add a drop shadow to the text using the same settings as before

Now go to your layer palette and right click on the text layer. Rename it text.

Now duplicate the text layer twice and rename the copies text2 and text3

We now need to arrange the layers so we can merge them. Arrange the layers as follows and turn off the visibility of the top 6 layers. Right click on the flower layer and Merge > Merge Visible

Turn off the visibility of the merged layer and turn on the visibility of the next 3 layers. Right click on flower2 layer and Merge > Merge visible

Turn off the visibility of the second merged layer and turn on the visibility of the top 3 layers

Right click on flower3 layer and Merge > Merge Visible

Turn on the visibility of all layers and save as a PSP file

Open Animation Shop and open your saved file

We need to crop it as it's very big.

Click on the crop tool then click on the options button

When the new window opens click on Surround Opaque Area

Click OK then click on the crop button

You can resize your animation if it's too big

To do this, go to Edit > Select All then Animation > Resize Animation

I resized mine by 70%

Save and you're done :o)

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
