Flood Fill Tool
Open a new canvas, use the following settings
Click on your preset shapes tool and in your tool options palette choose a flower shape. I used flower 3 Use the following settings
In your colour palette set your foreground colour to black and your background colour to null Draw the flower shape on your new canvas. It's your choice how big you want to make it
Click on your magic wand tool and use the following settings
Now click inside the flower shape to set the ants marching
Go to Selections > Modify > Expand and expand by 2 or 3 pixels
On your colour palette, choose a solid colour, pattern or gradient and flood fill your selection
Go to Selections > Select None Now click inside the first petal to set the ants marching then while pressing the sift key on your keyboard click inside the other empty petals. Go to selections again and expand the selections by 2 or 3 pixels then choose a different colour and flood fill the selections. Go to Selections > Select None Now click on the Inner Bevel icon and use the following settings
You will now have this
We're now going to duplicate the flower so we can add some noise to it. On your layer palette, right click on the layer and click on rename. I renamed mine flower Now right click again and click on duplicate. Repeat again so you have 3 copies of the flower layer Rename the copies flower2 and flower3
PAGE 2 Make sure the flower layer is active (click on it to highlight it blue) Go to Effects > Noise > Add
When the window opens, use the following settings
Click ok Click on your flower2 layer and add noise again but this time change the noise from 34 to 44 Click on your flower3 layer and again add noise changing the 44 to 54 Ok, time to add the doll I had to open my doll in Animation Shop to keep it transparent. Go to Edit > copy Back in PSP go to Edit > Paste As New Layer
Your doll will now be centred on your canvas Click on the drop shadow icon and use the following settings
We now need to duplicate the doll the same way we did the flower. Rename the doll layer doll then right click and duplicate twice. Rename the copies doll2 and doll3
Time to add some text Click on your text tool and then click on your canvas. Use the following settings
I created as a vector because I wanted to rotate my text so it was at an angle Go to your layer palette and right click on the text layer. Click on Convert to raster Add an Inner bevel to the text using the same settings as before Add a drop shadow to the text using the same settings as before Now go to your layer palette and right click on the text layer. Rename it text.
Now duplicate the text layer twice and rename the copies text2 and text3
We now need to arrange the layers so we can merge them. Arrange the layers as follows and turn off the visibility of the top 6 layers. Right click on the flower layer and Merge > Merge Visible
Turn off the visibility of the merged layer and turn on the visibility of the next 3 layers. Right click on flower2 layer and Merge > Merge visible
Turn off the visibility of the second merged layer and turn on the visibility of the top 3 layers Right click on flower3 layer and Merge > Merge Visible
Turn on the visibility of all layers and save as a PSP file
Open Animation Shop and open your saved file We need to crop it as it's very big. Click on the crop tool then click on the options button
When the new window opens click on Surround Opaque Area
Click OK then click on the crop button
You can resize your animation if it's too big To do this, go to Edit > Select All then Animation > Resize Animation I resized mine by 70% Save and you're done :o) I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Tutorial written by Shell © 2003 |
