Snowflake
Open a new image

Click on your text tool. Use the settings in the screenshot.

Click on your canvas and type the letter L (lowercase, not capital). Go to Selections > Selections None.

Go to the layer palette. Right click on the snowflake layer and duplicate. Repeat so you have 3 snowflake layers. Turn off the visibility of the top 2 snowflakes and click on the bottom snowflake layer to make it active.

Open the topsnow.pspimage. Click on your foreground colour materials box. Click on Pattern. Click on the drop down arrow and find the topsnow.pspimage. Click ok.

Go to Selections > Select All > Float

Click on your flood fill tool. Click 3 times in the snowflake...making sure not to move your cursor. Clicking 3 times makes the snow a bit darker so it can be seen easier. Keep selected.

Turn on the visibility of the next layer and click on it to select it.

Click in your foreground material box and change the angle to 5

With the flood fill tool, click 3 times in the snowflake. Keep selected.

Turn on the visibility of the top layer and click on it to select it.

Change the angle of the snow pattern to 10.

Click 3 times in the snowflake.

Go to Layers > New Raster Layer.

Change your background colour to #c00000 and your foreground colo9ur to null (null means no colour)

Click on your text tool and use the settings in the screenshot.

Add an Inner Bevel by going to Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Use your mover tool to position the text.

Open the snowman tube.

Go to Image > Resize and resize it by 50%. Go to Edit > Copy.

Click on the snowflake canvas and go to Edit > Paste As New Layer.

Go to the layer palette. Duplicate the text layer twice so you have 3 text layers. Duplicate the snowman layer twice so you have 3 snowman layers. Arrange the layers as in the screenshot (snowflake - text - snowman - snowflake - text - snowman - snowflake - text - snowman). Turn off the visibility of the top 6 layers and click on the bottom layer.

Right click and go to Merge > Merge Visible. Turn off the visibility of the newly merged layer and turn on the visibility of the next 3 layers.

Right click and go to Merge > Merge Visible. Turn off the visibility of the newly merged layer and turn on the visibility of the top 3 layers.

Right click and go to Merge > Merge Visible. Turn on the visibility of all layers.

Click on the crop tool.

Click on Snap Crop Rectangle to Layer Opaque.

This is what you should have.

Click on the tick to perform the crop.

Go to Layers > New Raster Layer.

Flood fill the new layer with white.

Duplicate the white layer twice so you have 3 white layers. Arrange them as in the screenshot. Turn off the visibility of the top 4 layers.

Right click and go to Merge > Merge Visible. Turn off the visibility of the newly merged layer and turn on the visibility of the next 2 layers.

Right click and go to Merge > Merge Visible. Turn off the visibility of the newly merged layer and turn on the visibility of the top 2 layers.

Turn on the visibility of all layers.

Save as a psp file. Open the file in Animation Shop. Go to Edit > Select All then Animation > Frame Properties. Change the display time to 26.

Save and you're done :o)
